COVID-19 Studio Precautions

For our clients’ safety and that of my team and me, we have the following precautions in place at the Lisa Damico Portraits studio and require one of the following to proceed with your photoshoot:

  • CDC or other official vaccination record showing you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have received your most recent dose within the past 6 months.

  • A negative PCR COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 48 hours before the time of your photoshoot OR

  • A negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test no earlier than 24 hours prior to the time of your photoshoot. Home testing kit results are accepted (ideally hours before your photoshoot).

My team and I are fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.

Upon Arrival

  • Please wait in your car until the start time of your session.

  • Please wear a mask until instructed to remove it by the hair and makeup artist.

  • When you arrive at the studio, I'll take your temperature with a contactless thermometer and then ask that you wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds. I’ll also have hand sanitizer readily available for you to use throughout the session.

  • I’m restricting sessions to only the photography client, so please do not bring additional friends or family members with you, unless approved prior to your session.

During the Session

Please note that all portrait sessions are done by appointment only and we photograph only one client per day. All pre-session planning, personal styling, and image reveal sessions will take place virtually.

  • Enhanced cleaning measures are in place for the studio and high contact areas: door handles, countertop surfaces, light switches, chairs, hair and makeup station, and bathroom.

  • Clients will be asked to wash their hands upon arriving and leaving the studio.

  • All team members will wear masks and wash and sanitize their hands multiple times and as often as possible during each session.

  • Pose coaching will be done visually and verbally, but any hands-on adjustments (clothing wrinkles, hair adjustments, etc.) will be done verbally for the client to make those adjustments.

  • A distance of at least six feet will be maintained between the photographer and client when shooting.

  • As much of the session as possible will take place outside and with the client wearing their mask.

  • Air purifiers capable of removing up to 99.97% of dust, germs, bacteria, and viruses in the air will be placed next to the hair and makeup station and in the shooting room.

Hair & Makeup Application

  • Hair and makeup artists will wear a mask and/or face shield for every client.

  • At no time will the makeup artist's hands or fingers touch the client's face.

  • All brushes, tools, and products are cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized before and after each client.

I ask that you notify me ASAP if you, or a family member, exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone that is confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19 at any point in the past two weeks. In the event that I, or any of my family members, are exhibiting symptoms, I will notify you immediately and either reschedule or refer you to another trusted and professional photographer. Rescheduling fees are currently waived for illness with proof of a positive test or suspected exposure, even if you have to reschedule at the last minute.
