NOW HIRING: Post-Production & Retouching Specialist
Part-time | Remote | Hourly | 4–8 shoots per month | Contract Role
Lisa Damico Portraits is a fast-growing luxury portraiture studio based in Alexandria, Virginia, specializing in online dating, personal branding, headshots, and women’s portraiture. Our mission is to create the best photos our clients have ever seen of themselves—and deliver an elevated, polished experience from start to finish.
This role is critical to the studio’s success. You’ll be the technical backbone of production—transforming RAW files into reveal-ready galleries that meet our uncompromising quality standards. You’ll own the post-production process from start to finish, ensuring every image that leaves the studio reflects the clean, vibrant, high-end aesthetic the brand is known for.
About You
You don’t just edit—you craft.
You catch what others miss, anticipate issues before they appear, and take full ownership of the final look and feel. You hold yourself to the same standard as the photographer whose name is on every file.
You already have a strong foundation in photo editing and retouching. This is not an entry-level role—I’m looking for someone who is technically proficient, highly skilled, and able to work independently without step-by-step training.
You thrive on precision, efficiency, and excellence. You communicate clearly, deliver on time, and take pride in consistency. You’re not looking for another gig—you’re looking to become the trusted, long-term post-production partner for a luxury portrait brand.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Have strong technical skills in photo editing and color management
Are highly proficient in Lightroom and Photoshop (required)
Have expertise in retouching and image enhancement (a plus)
Have prior professional experience in photo editing, portrait retouching, or post-production workflows (required)
Communicate clearly through brief written updates and visual examples
Excel under tight deadlines and high standards
Take initiative to improve systems and workflow efficiency
Have a sharp eye for detail, tone, and consistency across sessions
What You’ll Own
You’ll manage the complete post-production workflow from RAW upload through final image delivery—ensuring polish, consistency, and brand alignment at every step.
This role requires someone who can hit the ground running. If you need to learn the basics of Evoto, Lightroom, Photoshop, or RAW workflow, this will not be the right fit.
Your key responsibilities include:
Receive and organize RAW image uploads after each photoshoot
Cull and rate images in FilterPixel (Headshot → Advanced → Strict Photo Duplicates)
Apply AI retouching in Evoto using Lisa’s established preset
Perform manual refinements in Photoshop—removing distractions, perfecting clothing, correcting flyaways, and applying final color and exposure adjustments
Maintain signature brand toning and color consistency across sessions
Export high-resolution JPGs for proof galleries
Create web-optimized versions for Typeform and Animoto
Build final slideshow videos in Animoto
Incorporate client-requested edits post-reveal and finalize for delivery
Upload final approved images to Pixieset
Ensure all working files and exports are properly named, organized, and backed up to shared drives following studio conventions
Continuously refine and optimize the post-production process for quality and speed
Performance Standards
Proof galleries ready within 48 business hours after each photoshoot
Final images uploaded to Pixieset within 24 hours of reveal approval
98–100% on-time delivery rate
Less than 2% of images requiring re-edit
Accurate file naming, exporting, and uploads every time
Tools You’ll Use
FilterPixel, Lightroom, Evoto, Photoshop, Typeform, Animoto, Pixieset, Dropbox, Google Drive, and other shared platforms.
Equipment Requirements
You’ll need:
A reliable, high-speed internet connection
A calibrated monitor
A computer capable of handling large RAW files efficiently
Communication
You’ll collaborate directly with Lisa, providing concise updates and visual examples as needed. No client communication required.
Style & Standards
Our editing style is clean, true-to-life, and polished—never over-retouched or heavily filtered. Skin texture and realism are maintained while enhancing the overall vibrancy and clarity.
All client images and project files are confidential and may not be shared, used, or displayed without written permission.
Position Details
Remote, part-time contract position (not an employee role)
Average of 4–8 shoots per month, hours vary based on volume
Hourly compensation, competitive and aligned with experience
Must be located in the United States and available during U.S. business hours
Minimal training is provided beyond process orientation
Long-term working relationship preferred, with potential to take on additional projects as the studio grows
What Success Looks Like
Every gallery meets the studio’s brand aesthetic: clean, vibrant, and expressive
Turnarounds are fast, organized, and seamless
The editing workflow improves continuously through your expertise
Lisa can focus solely on shooting and client experience, confident the post-production is in expert hands
