Not unlike most middle school students, I went through an awkward phase. Some might say mine was more awkward than others. Growing up, it took me a while to stop seeing myself as that dorky sixth grader and start seeing myself as confident and beautiful.
That experience never left me—and it's the reason I do what I do.
Many times when someone raises a camera, that "sixth grade" insecurity comes rushing back. My goal is to replace that doubt—those "oh, I'm not photogenic!" moments—with the belief that you can feel comfortable in front of a camera and look genuinely great in a photo.
